We are part of a culture that documents everyday actions, experiences, portraits and small details (often automatically, and on the go). Our photos receive their minute of fame in news feeds — and are laid to rest. Technology is drastically changing the way we live our lives, share our experiences, make our art and experience our surroundings. It’s also challenging our idea of what it means to be human.

With the new iPhone and Google’s Pixel cameras, the final shift of photography to smartphones. In the world of photography, however, the virtual trend of GoPro’s and Drone Photography is not changing an aesthetic so much as expanding it.
